Time for the TROOPERS to march on ORLANDO! STAR WARS CELEBRATION V begins this week, and SUPER7 will be part of the action. Visit us at booth #223, and check out the official site for full (and exhaustive) details -
http://www.starwarscelebration.com/
We will have our limited edition STORMTROOPER SUPER SHOGUN available, along with many other goods and specials.

Star Wars fans who purchase the Stormtrooper Super Shogun during Celebration V will receive a free vintage Kenner action figure sealed on its original blister card.
Characters selected at random, and the offer is valid only while supply of figures lasts.

We will have copies available of the long out-of-print SUPER7 MAGAZINE #15, with an extensive cover story and photo essay on rare, vintage Japanese Star Wars toys! If you can't own the Takara die-cast metal Darth Vader, at least you can add photos of him to your collection.

SUPER7 is known for our original TOYS and T-SHIRTS, and we will have both in abundance at the show, including the always in demand MONSTERS shirt (which was featured on BIG BANG THEORY).
Lastly, we will be distributing free stickers to anyone who becomes a conscript in our SUPER SHOGUN SQUADRON!

SDCC AFTERMATH!
Tuesday, August 3, 2010
.jpg)
SAN DIEGO COMIC CON was insane, crazy, busy, hectic....but most of all, it was an absolute BLAST! It was great to be able to show off our TROOPER to over 125,000 people, and also to induct a ton of those fans as official members of the SUPER SHOGUN SQUADRON! Armband stickers were spotted all over the convention floor.
As for the toy itself, it was an absolute sellout at the convention! We returned to our secret headquarters in San Francisco without a single STORMTROOPER in our hands. If you missed out at the show, don't despair, as we still have the toy available online (just click the above links to get one while they last).
So much went on at the show that it is impossible to try to recap it all, from shooting IRON MAN director Jon Favreau with the Rocket Punch, to being filmed for Morgan Spurlock's new documentary, to having the GOLDEN GATE GARRISON of the 501st LEGION assembled at our booth....it was non-stop STAR WARS action all week!

Super7 will be exhibiting at the SAN DIEGO COMIC CON at booth #4729.
We're really excited to be able to bring our STORMTROOPER SUPER SHOGUN to the show for the first time as a "wide release". Previously, only fans living near our retail stores in San Francisco or St Petersburg have had the chance to see the toy in person and bask in its awesomeness. We are offering a special convention pre-order: purchase the toy online and you can select the "pick up in store" option and we will reserve the toy for you at our SDCC booth. Avoid shipping fees and avoid potential sell outs!
Additionally, we will be recruiting fans to join the SUPER SHOGUN SQUADRON!

Stop by our booth for stickers and other STAR WARS freebies!
Also, we just launched a mini-site dedicated to our convention exclusive toys and autograph signings:

MONDO SHOUT OUT!
Friday, July 9, 2010

Justin Ishmael from MONDO was interviewed this week by the folks at STARWARS.COM...
http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/mondoprints.html
....and gave the SUPER7 crew a very cool shout out;
How did this awesome Star Wars art print series come about?
We're big fans of the vinyl toy company, Super 7 in San Francisco. While attending San Diego Comic-Con in 2009, we saw the prototype for their Super Shogun Stormtrooper (which recently got released) at their booth. We really felt that if they could work with Star Wars and make something new, unique, and completely awesome, we should give it a try, too. It's one year later and we've now released two prints in the series. I totally credit Super 7 with giving us the courage to pursue this project.
Nothing more to say after such kind words other than "THANKS"! Check out the new prints at their site, but don't be upset if they have already sold out. Gotta act fast for these to be part of your collection, kids, and I believe the GONK DROID and RAIDER prints are history....

LAUNCH PARTY AFTERMATH!
Tuesday, June 15, 2010
What a night! There is so much to report that I don't think I'll be able to do it justice in this post. We were far over capacity as tons of people turned out for the LAUNCH PARTY of our long gestating SUPER SHOGUN. After much hard work from everyone on the SUPER7 staff, it was far beyond gratifying to have the STORMTROOPER received so well by the fans and collectors who attended the bash. We give our warmest thanks to all of you!
Let's start off our recap with a few videos --
Video #1 gives you a look at the various vintage toys and prototypes that were on exhibition
Video #2 was live tweeted by Bonnie Burton of Lucasfilm, showing the members of the 501st Legion outside of the SUPER7 Store. Bonnie has been an enthusiastic supporter of our Stormtrooper project, and you can follow her at @bonniegrrl http://twitter.com/bonniegrrl
Video #3 comes courtesy of www.toybotstudios.com and covers just about everything!
In the above video, you can see us drawing the winner of our raffle to give away a STORMTROOPER SUPER SHOGUN. The SUPER7 Store was overflowing with toy collectors, hipsters, and geeks....but at the end of the day, the prize was won by a nine year old boy decked out in a combination of INDIANA JONES gear and sporting an Imperial Blaster. Congratulations to David Hughey!

David's father wrote the following --

SUPER SHOGUN RELEASE PARTY - 6PM JUNE 12TH!
Friday, May 28, 2010
Super7 celebrates our first collaboration with Lucasfilm with a special release party for the STAR WARS: STORMTROOPER SUPER SHOGUN!
When: Saturday June 12th , doors open at 6:00 PM
Where: Super7 Store
1628 Post Street
San Francisco, CA 94115

Available at retail for the first time ever, the SUPER SHOGUN is a Limited Edition of only 1200 pieces, with many of that quantity already presold to consumers and overseas distributors. This is a one-time production with each STORMTROOPER hand numbered on the base of the foot with a unique serial number. Be sure to arrive early, as the first 100 people thorough the door will be given a unique Star Wars themed collectible, which will act as your raffle ticket. A random drawing later in the evening will award a prize package including one of the SUPER SHOGUN figures – a $299 value! Come on out to either buy one, or try your luck at winning one!
Similar to how the toy itself combines the themes of Star Wars and Japanese Super Robots, we will have an extraordinary exhibition of rare vintage toys from both franchises on display. The expansive series of original Kenner Star Wars action figures, including rare items such as figures with early “telescoping” light sabers, will be shown from the personal collection of Super7 honcho Brian Flynn. From 12-backs to Yak Faces, you will have the opportunity to see the complete Kenner collection in its entirety. Master collector and “Chairman” of www.toyboxdx.com , Erik Sjoen, has graciously allowed us to exhibit his incredible collection of vintage Japanese Jumbo Machinders. The two-foot tall giants will take up a large amount of the exhbit space with over 20 different robots featured, from the popular Raideen and Grendizer, to the more obscure Capsule Robo G and Giant Gorg. The final part of the exhibit will be dedicated to the “making of” the SUPER SHOGUN itself, as we present various stages of the production never before seen, including design sketches, original sculpts, and various mold tests.
Aside from our Jumbo figure, actual Stormtroopers themselves will be on-hand at the party! Security at the event will be provided by the Golden Gate Garrison of the 501st Legion,to ensure that any rebel scum is dealt with accordingly. We hope to see you at the party!

NEW SITE IS LIVE! PRODUCT DETAILS ANNOUNCED!
Wednesday, February 17, 2010
Super7 announces full product details and a new website for the company’s first collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd.: the highly anticipated Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun.
Children growing up in the 70s and 80s had their lives touched by two pop culture phenomena: the Star Wars saga and Jumbo Machinder toys (marketed in the
The Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun stands a whopping 24 inches tall, and includes all of the features that you expect from an authentic Jumbo: free rotating wheels on the bottom of his feet, and a spring-loaded Rocket Punch firing fist. Utilizing the same techniques implemented by Japanese toy manufacturers in the 1970s, the Super Shogun is constructed from durable, blow-molded polyethylene with a painted vinyl helmet. The figure is articulated at the neck and shoulders, and includes a removable, highly-detailed BlasTech E-11 laser blaster, which even features a poseable stock that unfolds from below the barrel. Collectors of both Japanese and Star Wars memorabilia are sure to be impressed with the care taken to fuse the disparate concepts into one unique entity.
Packaged in a dynamically illustrated gift box, each Stormtrooper is individually serial numbered as part of this one-time limited edition production run. As a special bonus, metallic foil stickers are included to allow fans the option to customize the torso with the character name in English or in Japanese.
Star Wars collector and Lucasfilm’s Head of Fan Relations Steve Sansweet says he can’t wait to get his hands on one. “I collected both Shogun Warriors and Star Wars toys, and to me this is the perfect mash-up. I’ve been following this piece since I saw the first internal prototype, and its awesome size and cool features (a firing fist!) along with its limited availability put this high up on the must-have list.”
Tom Franck, renowned Japanese toy expert and possessor of one of the largest collections of Jumbo Machinders in the world, remarked “Toys like this just aren’t made anymore and it would be easy to produce a modern-era product that is similar to the original Jumbo Machinder line in name only. Throughout the prototyping and manufacturing process, Super7 has stayed true to the distinct aesthetics of the Jumbo Machinders. It is so exciting to see the return of a classic, and I cannot wait to add it to my collection.”
In celebration of the impending release, a dedicated mini-website has launched at STARWARS.SUPER7STORE.COM containing additional product specifications, photos, and more. The home page features a countdown clock highlighting the date that the first preorders will begin being accepted online. The site will be updated regularly and will serve as the headquarters for all future Super7-Lucasfilm collaborations.
